Lifeguard Training Courses on tap this spring

Registration is now available for the City of Mission Viejo’s spring Lifeguard Training Courses at the Montanoso Recreation Center.

The classes teach folks the skills and knowledge necessary to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Participants will receive American Red Cross certification in lifeguard training, first aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer. The training is valid for two years.

The training provides a great opportunity for teens, college students and others interested in a rewarding summer job. Participants must be at least 15 years old and pass the swimming and skills test on the first day of class and attend all sessions. Cost is $150.  Register online at cityofmissionviejo.org/register.

Friday, May 25: 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
