Orange County Human Relations is now accepting applications through May 31 for its 2021 Virtual Youth Leadership Institute - a free weeklong opportunity for any Orange County high school student.  Students will learn about human relations and social justice topics including youth-led movements, restorative practices and communication skills.  Exercises in what they learn through simulations and role playing will assist in preparing students to bring these new skills to their community.

The Mission Viejo Diversity and Inclusion Task Force has been working on engaging youth in Mission Viejo with human relations and social justice topics.  The Task Force has been working with the OC Human Relations organization to help identify opportunities such as this Youth Leadership Institute.

Space is limited in the program designed for high school students from around the County who are passionate about making a difference in the world.  Students are provided ample space to explore and discuss the different topics and themes presented.
