Local moms invited to National Charity League member meeting October 23
The Saddleback Valley Chapter of the National Charity League is hosting a Prospective Member Informational meeting for local moms on Monday, October 23.
The meeting is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
National Charity League, Inc. is a mother-daughter organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.
The Saddleback Valley Chapter serves 20 philanthropies around Orange County that include a pediatric cancer research foundation; therapeutic equestrian riding center; and support for our military heroes at Camp Pendleton. In Mission Viejo, the group’s efforts have been significant for folks served by the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center. The organization provides weekly Meals on Wheels drivers and serves congregate meals at the center. Members provide 22 dozen baked goods each week and assist with large lunch services throughout the year. Over the last 12 months, the members have devoted roughly 2,436 hours of volunteer service at the center.
The October 23 meeting is open to mothers only with daughters in classes of 2023 and 2024.
