Mental Health Expo for teens October 1

teen girls

Local teens, parents and families are invited to the 4th annual Together4Teens conference – designed to increase awareness and support for youth mental health – on Saturday, October 1.

Geared toward youth ages 12-18, adult family members and others, the free conference is from 9 am to 12:30 pm at Capistrano High School, 26301 Via Escolar.

The conference – hosted by the Wellness & Prevention Center – will feature youth and local organizations raising awareness of the pressures teens face today and the community resources available to teenagers, families and caregivers.

The interactive event will include a panel of local teens; yoga workshop for youth and adults; and discussions about building healthy relationships, self-care, and music for wellness. Adult workshops will focus on nutrition, mental health and tips for communicating with teens.

City of Mission Viejo staff will be on hand with information about City programs and services.
