Mission Viejo residents invited to apply for OC Go Taxpayer Oversight Committee

OCTA construction

The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is seeking qualified volunteers to serve on the OC Go Taxpayer Oversight Committee (TOC).

The TOC is an independent 11-member committee that monitors OCTA’s use of revenue collected through OC Go, also known as Measure M, the County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements.

Mission Viejo residents are eligible to apply. Candidates must be at least 18 and willing to serve for a three-year term. In their applications, potential committee members should also demonstrate a history of participating in community activities and knowledge of transportation. Elected or appointed city, district, county, state or federal officials are not eligible to serve.

Applications are due by May 2. Interviews will be held via Zoom and conducted May 5-13, with final selection taking place at the OCTA Board of Directors meeting June 28.

For more information, call 714-974-9699 or visit OCTA.
