Mission Viejo voters elect Trish Kelley and Brian Goodell to City Council
Mission Viejo voters elected Trish Kelley and Brian Goodell into office Tuesday, according to the "unofficial" results from the Orange County Registrar of Voters.
When sworn in on December 13, the City Council candidates will fill the seats of Council Member Cathy Schlicht and Mayor Frank Ury. Council Member Schlicht lost her bid for re-election, while Mayor Ury terms out this year.
Trish Kelley is returning to the post, after serving on the Mission Viejo City Council for 12 years before terming out in 2014. She was the top vote getter with about 32.2 %, followed by Brian Goodell at 28.9%.
During the December 13 meeting, Mayor Ury and Council Member Schlicht will be recognized for their contributions to the community.
