Party like it’s 1988 during Mission Viejo’s 30th anniversary celebration July 28

80s

Ready to “Party like it’s 1988?” Then make plans for our bodacious Symphony in the Cities and Prelude in the Park event on Saturday, July 28.

Boasting a 1980s theme in celebration of the City of Mission Viejo’s 30th anniversary, this totally tubular event is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Oso Viejo Community Park on the Village Green, 24932 Veterans Way.

With music under the stars and all things 80s, concertgoers will mingle with the likes of Michael Jackson and Prince while enjoying old-school family games.  Featuring a Musical Playground, the Prelude in the Park is from 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. with the Pacific Symphony concert kicking off with a gnarly dance party at 7 p.m.  The event ends with a big finale. Cowabunga!

Beer and wine and tasty fare will be available for purchase from gourmet food trucks Cousins Maine Lobster, Ninjas with Appetite, StickABerry and Burning Buns.

Free admission and shuttle rides from the Civic Center.
