Mobile Astronomical Observatory Open House April 10
Kids and adults alike are in for a lunar delight on Monday, April 10 when local nonprofit Science Heads launches its new Mobile Astronomical Observatory at the Mission Viejo Library.
A special ribbon cutting takes place at noon in the Kershaw Garden outside of the library at 100 Civic Center. An open house follows from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. giving folks the chance to view active solar prominences, flares and sunspots and check out interactive displays. The fun includes free hands-on science activities for children and adults including sun pictures, straw rockets and more.
This is a fantastic way for families to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) concepts.
