New mental health podcast for struggling youth

teenager listening to music

Mission Viejo youth struggling with mental health issues are invited to tune in to a new podcast – “It’s Okay to Feel” – that provides listeners with inspiring stories to embrace their feelings and mental well-being.

The podcasts are by the nonprofit NAMI Orange County, which provides emotional support, education and resources for families throughout the region addressing every aspect of mental health at no cost to the community.

The organization is also providing youth and young adults ages 16-24 with a Media Masterclass that encourages people to express their feelings while maximizing their social media skills with their own podcast. The goal is to provide a social platform to share challenges and spread positive messages.
