New York Times bestselling author Brad Meltzer to appear in Mission Viejo March 14
Brad Meltzer, one of the nation’s most beloved thriller authors, will discuss his new book “The Escape Artist” on Wednesday, March 14 as part of the City’s popular Writers Present program. The enchanting free presentation begins at 7 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
For two decades, Meltzer has been entertaining readers with a dozen thrillers, a successful children’s book series, comic books and TV shows. Meltzer is responsible for helping find the missing 9/11 flag that firefighters raised at Ground Zero in his TV show, “Brad Meltzer's Lost History.”
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of his first book, Meltzer decided to return to the start. Just like the novel that launched his career, “The Escape Artist” is a tightly-woven, fast-paced thriller - packed with little-known American history and unforgettable characters. It explores what happens when ordinary people are thrust into moments of great action and responsibility. Fans will be delighted to learn that the book is the first in an entirely new series.
Patrons are welcome to this free presentation based on seat availability beginning at 6:15 p.m. For reserved seating and priority book signing based on the order of online purchase, buy a ticket online today and you’ll get a hardcover copy of “The Escape Artist.” Books can be picked up beginning at 6 p.m. on March 14, and guests can socialize on the terrace where the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library will host a wine bar. Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore will also be on hand selling books.
