Play Texas Hold 'Em June 10 to benefit our Marines

If you know "when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em," make plans now to play Texas Hold 'Em for a great cause on Saturday, June 10.

The Mission Viejo Rotary is hosting a community-wide poker tournament and fundraiser to support the City's Marine Adoption Committee as well as many local nonprofit organizations.

The event is from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.  The exciting evening includes a silent auction, dinner by Outback Steakhouse, beverages and gaming. Must be 21 to attend.

Prices for this fundraiser are listed at http://missionviejorotary.org/Page/texas-hold-em. For each person who registers, a portion of the fee will be donated to the Marine Adoption Committee.  Just be sure to choose "Mission Viejo Marine Adoption Committee" from the drop-down menu when registering at http://www.mvtexasholdem.com.

The Marine Adoption Committee provides year-round support for members Headquarters Battalion of the 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton. The committee sends weekly care packages to deployed troops, collects gowns for female Marines and Marine wives to wear at the annual Marine Corps Ball, offsets the cost for entry-level Marines to attend the annual Marine Corps Ball, coordinates an annual "Day at Lake Mission Viejo" event for families, provides emergency monetary assistance, hosts baby showers for expectant families and more.
