Plein air painters sought for inaugural ‘Just Plein Fun’ competition at Arts Alive
If you have a passion for plein air painting, we want YOU for this year’s Arts Alive & Street Painting Festival!
With a “Nature as I See It†theme, the April 28-29 festival will boast a first-time “Just Plein Fun†competition along the Oso Creek Trail.
Oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel artists are invited to create their vision of the Oso Creek Trail, which stretches from the Potocki Center for the Arts to beyond the Norman P. Murray Center. Artists of all levels will discover an array of flora and fauna along the trail as well as the snowy egrets and blue herons that frequent the creek beds.
The City’s 13th annual Arts Alive Festival will feature more than 100 street painters; arts and crafts for purchase; musical and dance performances as well as creative activities for adults and children.
For an application to participate as a plein air artist, street painter, arts and crafts vendor, volunteer or event sponsor, visit https://cityofmissionviejo.org/arts-alive or call 949-470-8440.
