JEDI ENGINEERING WITH LEGO

The Force is strong in this camp while participants build complex machines and structures based on designs from a galaxy far away. Projects include LEGO X-Wings, AT-AT Walkers, Pod Racers, Star Destroyers, Cloud Cities, settlements and fortresses.  Play-well instructors reinforce key engineering concepts such as gear trains, worm drives, pneumatics, eccentric motion and more.  This camp takes place June 19-23 from 9 a.m. to noon for kids 5-6 and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for youth 7-12.  Cost is $180 per week. MINECRAFT, BUILD ADVENTURE GAME WITH LEGO

Kids bring Minecraft to life building with Lego. Resourcefulness, creativity and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game. Participants roll the dice to mine for resources, craft tools and watch out for creepers. They will learn this original game created by Play-well instructors and inspired by the popular Minecraft video game.  This camp takes place June 26-30 from 9 a.m. to noon for kids 5-6 and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for youth 7-12.  Cost is $180 per week. S.T.E.A.M. WITH LEGO

Tap your creative side with tens of thousands of Legos.  Build engineer-designed projects like boats, motorized cars, catapults, pneumatic cranes, arch bridges, skyscrapers and battle-tracks. Then use special pieces to create your own unique design.  This camp takes place July 31-August 4 from 9 a.m. to noon for kids 5-6 and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for youth 7-12.  Cost is $180 per week. GIRL POWERED S.T.E.A.M. WITH LEGO

Girls who love to build will have fun in a supportive environment building engineer-designed Lego projects. They will apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering and architecture to build boats, motorized cars, catapults, pneumatic cranes, arch bridges, skyscrapers and amusement parks. This camp takes place August 7-11 from 9 a.m. to noon for kids 5-6 and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for youth 7-12. Cost is $180 per week. JOURNEYS TO THE PAST ART CAMP

Learn the art of basket weaving, soapstone carving, beading, making arrowheads and more art forms of the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians, Acjachemen Nation. Journeys to the Past is a California Indian art camp June 26-30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. that shows the beauty of our culture and ignites others to discover their own.  Through stories and songs, camp leader Jacque Nunez shares her people’s indigenous tools, instruments, games and clothing. Campers will learn how American Indians preserve their culture today by participating in Intertribal Pow wows. Campers will watch and participate in traditional dances and leave the camp with a wonderful understanding of environmentalism and what it means to be “keepers of the earth.” Cost is $185 per week for the camp geared toward kids 7-12. ART AROUND THE WORLD CAMP

Explore the world by learning different cultural art forms in the “Art Around the World Camp” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. August 7-11. INCREDIFLIX FILM CAMPS 
LIVE ACTION FLIX

Do you want to have a blast making a movie?  In this fantastic camp, you will go from “Action” to “That’s a wrap!”  Camp leaders will guide you through the Hollywood process as you brainstorm, location scout, bring in props and costumes as well as act and direct in a collaborative movie that is fun for the entire audience. STOP-MOTION ANIMATION LEGO FLIX

If you enjoy creating Lego worlds, you’ll love bringing those worlds to life in Lego stop-motion animated flix. This fun camp is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. August 14-18. Campers ages 7-13 will create a Lego set with characters for a movie they storyboard, write, shoot and voice-over in age-appropriate groups. Cost is $210 per week.
