Register today for fun-filled spring youth camps

Whether it’s cooking, building, Minecraft, adventure or sports, we’ve got some exciting spring break camps lined up your kids will surely love. Registration is now available for the following Mission Viejo camps:

CULINARY KIDS
Unleash your inner chef by cooking, creating and collaborating in the kitchen! With our flavorful healthy dishes, expert chefs, teachers and fun-filled atmosphere, your young chef will develop lifelong essential cooking skills while sautéing his or her way around tasty menu masterpieces! Young chefs ages 5-13 will work in small groups for hands-on kitchen fun. This camp is from 9 a.m. to noon April 2-6 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center. Cost is $200 plus a $50 lab fee payable to the instructor. (Course #13202)

MINE, CRAFT, BUILD ADVENTURE GAME
Bring Minecraft to life using Lego materials! Resourcefulness, creativity and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game. Roll the dice to mine for resources and use them to build special items for our adventures. Build a zoo, create a medieval castle and design a tree house village! Led by Play-Well TEKnologies, the camp for kids 6-10 is from 9 a.m. to noon April 2-6 at the Potocki Center for the Arts. Cost is $170. (Course #13873)

MISSION: CAMP ADVENTURE
Kids ages 5-10 participate in a variety of fun games and activities such as bowling, swimming, arts/crafts and sports at the Montanoso Recreation and Fitness Center. On the last day, they’ll enjoy a pizza party. This camp is from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 2-5. Weekly rate is $88, with a $22 daily rate (Wednesday is $42 due to T-shirt and bowling). JUNIOR TENNIS SPRING BREAK CAMP
Campers will see improvement in their game with an emphasis on technique, consistency, point play and competition with small instructor-to-student ratios. Lunch is included! Kids 5 and older will learn and have fun This camp is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 3-5 at the Marguerite Tennis Pavilion. Cost is $129 for the entire session or $50 a day space permitting. SPORTS SAMPLER CAMP
Beginner athletes get the chance to see what they are interested in while more experienced campers hone their skills across several sports. Instruction and practice take place in a rotation-based format and campers learn the core fundamentals of each sport. Sports include basketball, soccer, baseball and flag football. Campers should wear appropriate athletic attire and bring a water bottle and two snacks. This camp for ages 4-6 is from 9 a.m. to noon April 5. Cost is $75.
