Santa's Stop, Wave & Go Program Complements City's Special Needs Adaptive Programming Initiative
St. Nick is continuing to bring joy to the community while keeping people safe through his "Stop, Wave and Go" program at Santa's Village every Saturday and Sunday through December 20 in the Civic Center Plaza at 200 Civic Center.
From 6 to 8 pm, families and individuals can drive-through Santa's Village to stop, wave and drop off a letter to Santa and Mrs. Claus. During this time, folks must remain in their vehicles. This inclusive program put on by the Mission Viejo Activities Committee also complements the City's SNAP (Special Needs Adaptive Programming) initiative - designed to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to partake in adaptive programs and experience the mental, physical, emotional and social aspects of sports and recreation.
While the Stop, Wave and Go program is vehicle-based, on other days and times, the Civic Center workshop area is available for families to stroll and view the holiday decorations and lights. Masks must be worn and social distancing is required.
