Scouts’ Eagle projects benefit Mission Viejo

Gabriel Suzuki and volunteers

Two local residents are in line to obtain the prestigious rank of Eagle after completing separate projects that benefit our community.

Kent Johnson of Boy Scout Troop #1210 recently led 30 volunteers in planting 800 one-gallon plants on a slope area at Wilderness Glen Open Space near Vista de Lago and Los Alisos Blvd.

Like a master conductor, Gabriel Suzuki of Troop 1602 led 17 volunteers in installing 100 linear feet of lodge-pole fencing near the playground area at Cordova Park.

The City appreciates the outstanding efforts of these young leaders. Scouts, schools and organizations interested in conducting similar projects should contact Jerry Hill at 949-470-3064 or jhill@cityofmissionviejo.org.
