Religious leaders from throughout Orange County are invited to a special presentation by Secure OC Schools designed to help improve safety in their organizations and places of worship.

The presentation is from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, June 10 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

Launched last year by then Mission Viejo Mayor Ed Sachs, Secure OC Schools is a coalition of local South County cities, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and Capistrano Unified School District to combat school gun violence.

During the June 10 meeting, the coalition will demonstrate its cloud-based app for communication, training offered to children and teachers as well as how to use stop-the-bleed kits to save lives.

“We are inviting religious leaders and their security personnel from all over Orange County to attend,” said Council Member Sachs. “We want to extend this type of training and knowledge to our religious organizations to keep citizens safe.”

For more information on the presentation, call 949-874-4072 or email edsachs@edsachs.com.
