Stand-up for Texas Hurricane Relief Comedy Benefit set for Oct. 27

Brundrett Middle School

Tickets are now available for a special night of comedy to benefit a great cause. The "Stand-up for Texas Hurricane Relief" event is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 27 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center.

The event will benefit a middle school in Port Aransas, Texas - one of the first cities hit with 130 mph winds that wreaked havoc on everything from homes to boards to businesses and Brundrett Middle School. Shortly after learning about the devastation, the City and Mission Viejo Activities Committee joined forces with several nonprofit organizations to help raise funds to rebuild the school

The October 27 fundraising event will feature the talents of Tom Riehl, Mark Schumacher, Ron Ruhman and Stephanie Blum - each bringing his and her own rip-roaringly funny comedy to Mission Viejo.

Tax-deductible tickets range from $15-$25 and are available at mvactivities.com or at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.  For more information about the event and comedians, see this flier.
