Tie the knot on Valentine’s Day

If you want to get hitched on Valentine’s Day, listen up: The Orange County Clerk-Recorder’s Department on February 14 is offering extended hours in Laguna Hills, Fullerton and at the Old County Courthouse in Santa Ana. The department will stay open until 5:30 p.m. to issue marriage licenses and perform ceremonies on the most romantic day of the year.

Since Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year, appointments will fill up fast. You can set an appointment for a civil marriage ceremony and complete your marriage license application online at http://www.ocrecorder.com. Walk-in couples will be accommodated based on availability.

Orange County has one of the lowest costs for a marriage license and ceremony in the state. A public marriage license is $61 and confidential marriage license $66. A civil marriage ceremony can be performed for an additional $28.
