Vibrant watercolor display at Mission Viejo Library June 9-July 6

artwork of cat and dog

The next time you stop by the Mission Viejo Library check out the exquisite art exhibit on display beginning Friday, June 9.

The work is from artists in a multilevel painting class through the Saddleback Valley Unified School District. The talented artists ranged from the novice to the more advanced painter.

Under the direction of Antoinette Fierro, the artists learned many facets of watercolor painting. Techniques from washes to textural effects were incorporated while stressing the use of color to bring out the light and vibrancy of this medium. Color and value contrast provided the portal to illuminate the moments the artists chose to capture.

The artwork reflects their cherished memories, visions of serene moments and glimpses of aspiring dreams. The exhibit is on display through July 6 at 100 Civic Center.
