Visit Mission Viejo's Heritage House this Saturday
Learn about Mission Viejo's storied past by visiting the Heritage House from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 9 at Melinda Park.
The City's Heritage House was established in 2003 to educate folks about our rich history. Formerly a Mission Viejo Company new-home sales center, the house once attracted prospective buyers seeking their dream home. Today, it's where visitors come to learn about the people and events that made Mission Viejo "The California Promise."
"The City is celebrating its 30th anniversary of cityhood this year, so this gives residents an opportunity to stop by and learn more about their beloved City's past," said Heritage Committee Co-chairman Art Villalovos.
Members of the City's Heritage Committee will be on hand to answer questions, and guests can purchase Mission Viejo history books, retro license-plate frames, coffee mugs and historical playing cards.
People of all ages are welcome. Reservations are not necessary and parking is free. The Heritage House is nestled on the corner of Melinda Road and Santa Margarita Parkway at 28951 Melinda Road. Groups of eight or more can schedule a private tour throughout the year by calling 949-470-8488.
