The public is invited to enjoy the beautiful family-drama, ”Fly Away Home” at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11 at Mission Viejo City Hall. This PG-rated film is sponsored by the city’s Community of Character Committee and coincides with June’s character trait of “citizenship.”

You and your family will be awed by this visually stunning and emotionally heartwarming film that tells the story of a 13-year old (Anna Paquin) who was reunited with her father (Jeff Daniels) after tragic circumstances.  Together, they devise a clever plan to lead orphaned geese south from Ontario, Canada to North Carolina.  Academy-Award winning cinematographer Caleb Deschanel’s dazzling photography will make you feel that you are flying along with them!

Special guest Bruce Aird from Sea and Sage Audubon Society will be present at the event to share his expertise on the fascinating behavior of birds and answer questions following the film’s screening.

The movie will be shown on a theater-size screen with theater-style seating and surround-sound at 200 Civic Center, just across from the Mission Viejo Library.
