Water district set to begin road construction on recycled water project in Mission Viejo

construction on roads

Expanding its recycled water infrastructure to save drinking water, the Santa Margarita Water District will install recycled water pipelines in Mission Viejo beginning next month.

The 5-month project will take place in the following streets:

  • Arbolitos from Lucero toward La Paz Road
  • La Paz Road, Arbolitos to Pacific Hills Drive
  • Pacific Hills Drive, La Paz to Alato

Construction will take place mostly on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The water district and City are working to ensure all impacts to residents are minimized.

The Santa Margarita Water District will host an informational community meeting at 7 p.m. on August 7 at the Norman P. Murray Community Center to explain the components and phases of the project as well as its impacts and benefits to the community. Residents are invited to ask questions during the hour-long meeting. The community center is located at 24932 Veterans Way.
