Water Festival on tap May 19

Santa Margarita Water District is set to host its free annual Water Festival on Saturday, May 19.  In celebration of Water Awareness Month, the district’s family event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 26311 Antonio Parkway. 

The festival features bounce houses, displays, native plant exhibits, vintage fire truck rides, reptiles, face painting and free food. Folks will learn about innovative water district projects as well as receive educational tours of the facility.

The City of Mission Viejo will also be on hand with a host of beneficial environmental information. The water district is in Rancho Santa Margarita. For more information, call 949-459-6400.
