Wonton the half pug, half Chihuahua is all heart

wonton and foster parents

On a recent trip to rescue dogs from a shelter in the Inland Empire, a Mission Viejo Animal Services Center Supervisor was immediately charmed by an adorable “chug” – a half pug, half Chihuahua – named Wonton, who had arrived at that facility as a stray with a severely damaged right rear leg.  Soon Wonton was on his way to Mission Viejo and Dedicated Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) paid for the necessary surgery.

Wonton’s happy-go-lucky personality and love for life are contagious, and this social guy has won over all the other dogs, cats, and people he’s met, including his wonderful foster family. His leg will require a bit more time to completely heal, but his charisma is abundantly hearty and he’s looking for a forever home!

Meet Wonton today at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center, 28095 Hillcrest.  For more information, call 949-470-3045 or visit cmvas.org.
