Work of talented local artist is on display along Mission Viejo's Parkway Gallery

A dynamic new exhibit at Mission Viejo’s Parkway Gallery features work by local artist Nazeli Balayans.

A Mission Viejo resident since 2020, Balayans draws inspiration from the tranquility and natural beauty of the area’s local surroundings, and credits the City’s supportive community as an integral part of her continued development as an artist.

Largely self-taught, she began her artistic journey during the pandemic and found her niche in abstract painting.

“The intuitive nature of abstract expressionism allows me to explore my emotions freely,” she said. “My hope is that each person who encounters my work finds a personal connection, a spark of inspiration, or a moment of introspection.”

The Parkway Gallery features art pilasters in the medians on Crown Valley Parkway and Marguerite Parkway.

This exhibit runs through spring 2025.
