Assemblyman Bill Brough and Senator Pat Bates are inviting local parents to a Drug Awareness Night on October 2 that will focus on the rapid increase of opioid and heroin addiction in Orange County.

The event takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the San Juan Hills High School Performing Arts Center at 29211 Stallion Ridge in San Juan Capistrano.

The evening was put together in response to the Orange County Health Care Agency's report "2017 Opioid Overdose & Death in Orange County."

The presentation will feature information about how the drugs get here; severity of the issue in Orange County; what happens if drugs are found at school; and perspectives from law enforcement, school district officials and others. See this flier for detailed information.
