Take a Virtual Walk during PTSD Awareness Month

military person in therapy

June is Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) awareness month - an opportunity to focus energy on our service members who continue to suffer when they return home from deployment overseas.

PTSD is a complex mental health problem facing not only our military personnel but many in our community coping and adjusting to COVID-19 trauma and recovery.

To raise awareness, the National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Syndrome is engaging the community by encouraging people to take part in the PTSD awareness walk between now and June 30.

Folks simply need to register online and complete 27 minutes of exercise any time during the month.

For more information about PTSD and how to get support, visit https://www.ptsd.va.gov/understand/awareness/index.asp. Information is also available in this booklet.
