Nighttime full freeway closures in South County

Be aware of full and partial freeway closures on tap this week. Southbound I-5 is scheduled to close at night July 19, 20 & 21 between Camino Capistrano and PCH/Camino Las Ramblas.

The following week, northbound I-5 is set to close at night July 26, 27 & 28 between Avenida Pico and PCH/Camino Las Ramblas.

Crews will replace outdated overhead signs that span the freeway.

Lane closures are 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Full freeway closures are midnight to 5 a.m. Motorists should expect significant delays and avoid the area if possible.
