Don't miss popular mystery author’s Mission Viejo visit Sept. 12
Save the date for Tuesday, September 12 when popular author J.A. Jance appears in the City’s Writers Present program at 7 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
Jance is a New York Times bestselling and award-winning mystery author with more than 20 million books in print. Her writing career spans three decades and includes more than 50 books in four different series— “Ali Reynoldsâ€; “J.P. Beaumontâ€; “Joanna Bradyâ€; and the “Walker Family†along with a volume of poetry.
During her Mission Viejo visit, Jance will discuss her latest book “The Proof of Life.†This riveting mystery follows J. P. Beaumont’s latest investigation, which strikes too close to home.
When his longtime nemesis, retired Seattle crime reporter Maxwell Cole, dies in what’s officially deemed to be an accidental fire, Beaumont is astonished to be dragged into the investigation at the request of none other than the deceased victim himself. In the process, he learns that just because a long-ago case was solved doesn’t mean it’s over.
This is a free program hosted by the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library. However, for reserved seating and priority book signing, you can purchase a $32 ticket at http://jajance.brownpapertickets.com, which includes a hardcover copy of “The Proof of Life.†One ticket provides up to two people with reserved seating as well as priority book signing in the order of online purchase. Books can be picked up an hour before the presentation begins at the Norman P. Murray Community Center. Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore will also sell books on site. The Friends of the Mission Viejo Library will host a wine bar starting at 6 p.m., so guests can socialize on the terrace.
