'Coaches Corner' spotlights Tee It Up Fore Marines

Mission Viejo Television is now airing an inspiring episode of "Coaches Corner" with Paul Higgins on the 7th Annual Tee It Up Fore Marines Golf Tournament at Camp Pendleton.

"Coaches Corner" is a popular half-hour show that takes an in-depth look at local athletes.

During this annual golf tournament fundraiser that benefits the City’s adopted Headquarters Battalion of the 1st Marine Division, Paul explores the significance of the event and chats with some of the folks responsible for making it a reality. That includes Chairperson Gayle Wood of the Mission Viejo Marines and Sailors Adoption Committee; Gunnery Sergeant Antoinette Reyna; Gunnery Sergeant James Kanelos; Sergeant Kyler Bear; Clyde Ching from Mission Viejo Country Club; AYSO Division 84's Mike Elliot; and Executive Director of the Mission Viejo Community Foundation Kelly Doyle.

Sergeant Major Marcus Chamberlin talks about how unique the experience is for participants.

“I like to introduce them to what I call the ‘Marine Experience,’ so they get to see the equipment, they get to shake the hands, they get to talk and see the kids from all around the country, and I think that’s really the rewarding part of it is to get to talk to them and some of the experiences they’ll get at the holes throughout the day will be what carries on,” he said.
