New Spanish-style eatery with Flamenco shows, dancing set to open in December at Kaleidoscope
Tapas OC restaurant is expected to open its new 6,500-square-foot eatery at the Kaleidoscope center sometime in December.
The restaurant, which used to be in Newport Beach, is known for its authentic Spanish cuisine and live entertainment. Its menu boasts an array of tapas, seafood and Mediterranean salads.
Tapas OC will feature a 1,000-square-foot dance floor for live Flamenco shows, salsa and bachata dancing along with salsa lessons for patrons. The eatery will be open for dinner nightly and brunch every Saturday and Sunday.
In other business news, the Planning and Transportation Commission this month gave the green light for an exterior remodel of the Gateway Center on Alicia Parkway.
The longtime Mission Viejo shopping center at the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Jeronimo Road will receive an updated building color scheme with tile accents; new trellis structures; and a sign program. The center located on nearly 8 acres of land will be accented with landscape and hardscape updates as well as parking lot and sidewalk accessibility improvements and new bike rack lighting. The center was initially completed in 1979.
