Lace up your running shoes and get ready to take a trek along the Oso Creek Trail for a great cause of your choice.

Registration is now available for the Oso Fit 5K Fun Run and Children’s Races on Saturday, February 25 from 7:30 to 11 am.

Hosted by the City of Mission Viejo and Chamber of Commerce, the event is committed to supporting the community and local nonprofits.

The 5K race begins at 8:30 am at the Norman P. Murray Community Center (24932 Veterans Way). The Kid’s Run - hosted by Children’s Cerebral Palsy Movement and Spirit League - is a fun course for kids of all abilities. It starts at 9:30 am and features quarter- and half-mile races.

One-hundred percent of your pre-registration fee will go to a nonprofit of your choice. Early registration ends at 7 pm on Friday, February 17. Register before then to receive an event T-shirt and discounted fees. After that, the cost to participate increases.

The event also includes a Community Health Fair featuring health and wellness organizations offering giveaways and handouts. A wide variety of health screenings will be available including blood pressure, glucose, pulmonary function (lung function), EKG (heart rhythm), grip strength, body mass index, and much more. No ticket is required to attend the fair.

Thank you to our premier sponsor Providence Mission Hospital and presenting sponsors – Cerebral Palsy Movement, Spirit League, Optum, MemorialCare Medical Group, WebDesign Pilot, and Celebrating Life Church.
