Vibrant works of art on display at the MV Library
The next time you visit the Mission Viejo Library, check out the impressive works of art on display.
“Steel Paint and Chrome†is the theme of Jack Knight’s exhibit in the library’s north wing. Comprising both paintings and three-dimensional art, Knight’s style is bold and dynamic, ranging from incredibly realistic to whimsical and abstract. Knight works with a variety of media and forms and is involved in leading interactive community art projects around Orange County. He teaches painting classes for adults and children at Mission Viejo’s Potocki Center for the Arts.
In the library’s south wing, you’ll see a colorful display of stunning quilts created by award-winning Orange County artist Jeanette Floyd. Each piece tells a story, and Floyd’s passion for textile art has been a lifelong pursuit. Ever since her aunt taught her to crochet as a young girl, Floyd has been committed to inspiring others in all her art forms.
Both exhibits run through the end of April.
The library is located at 100 Civic Center. For more information, email arts@cityofmissionviejo.org.
