City Council to review proposed two-year budget June 13
The City Council on Tuesday, June 13 will review and discuss the Fiscal Year 2023-25 proposed budget, among other business.
The business portion of the meeting starts at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.
As reported previously and part of the City’s process, the Council will conduct a workshop to review the proposed budget and master financial plan, a $194.6 million two-year package of services, programs, and projects for the benefit of Mission Viejo residents and businesses. This proposed budget maintains all essential service levels and programs that are important to the community and provides for $18.6 million in funding for capital improvements. The development of the 2023-25 proposed budget was guided by a continued focus on the City’s organizational values and strategic goals, and is balanced while maintaining healthy discretionary reserves of $35.3 million.
The Council will also consider renewing the agreements with the cities of Aliso Viejo and Laguna Niguel to continue providing animal services to those communities.
City Council meetings are streamed live on the City’s website and air on Cox Channel 30 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99. Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting, sign up for the City's eNewsletter and follow the City's official social media sites for the most accurate, up-to-date information.
