Help Mission Viejo shine bright by entering the Holiday Home Lighting Contest

Mission Viejo residents are encouraged to brighten their neighborhoods by competing in the Annual Holiday Home Lighting Contest. Homes must be decorated and applications submitted to the Mission Viejo Activities Committee by 5 pm on Friday, December 1.

Homes will be judged based on categories including Most Creative Use of Lights; Most Creative Theme; Most Traditional/Festive; Religious Theme; New Kids on the Block; Showstopper; and Light Up Your Neighborhood Award.

Preliminary judging takes place December 3-4, with the final judging on December 6. Winners will be awarded on December 8 with a winner sign for their front yard, photo and gift basket with select prizes donated from community sponsors. They will also be featured on the holiday driving directions and holiday homes YouTube video.

Thank you for your comment on the News page and interest in the Holiday Home Lighting Contest. Yes, after the judging takes place the Mission Viejo Activities Committee will publish a list for viewing the homes and we will be pleased to share it on the News page!
