Several Marines still hoping to be 'adopted' this holiday season
Through the generosity of our community, several Marines and their families have been "adopted" this holiday season via our Adopt-A-Marine Family program. However, there are still many other military members available to adopt.
Every year, members from our City's Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division spend the holidays away from loved ones. In In gratitude for their service, you can make a difference to these brave individuals by providing holiday gifts for a single Marine or Marine couple.
Items from the Marines' wish-lists vary, and the dollar value is based on your discretion. Once a single Marine or couple has been assigned to you, City staff will provide their wish-lists and details explaining the process. The deadline is Monday, December 11 for dropping off donated gifts for the Marines at City Hall, 200 Civic Center.
To support our Marines by participating in this annual community program, contact adoptamarinefamily@cityofmissionviejo.org or 949-470-3061.
