Free out-of-this world entertainment this Saturday at Symphony in the Cities and Prelude in the Park

Grab your friends and family and enjoy an out-of-this-world good time this Saturday, August 3 during Symphony in the Cities and Prelude in the Park.

This free signature event, which features the Pacific Symphony led by Maestro Carl St.Clair, is from 4 to 8 pm at 24932 Veterans Way.

With a “Cosmic Adventure Awaits” theme, guests will enjoy a picturesque park filled with planets and cosmic-themed decor. Patrons can connect with local STEM non-profit Science Heads including NASA Solar System Ambassadors, who will be on hand with their mobile observatory, Explorer 1, an astronomical observatory that offers a professional astronomer-like experience for all ages. There will also be a walk-through solar system exhibit, silent disco, 360-camera, face painting, bounce houses, planet beach ball pit, characters from a galaxy far, far away, games and delectable fare for purchase from several food trucks.

Patrons can begin placing blankets and chairs after 1 pm.

The City is encouraging residents to stay environmentally friendly and bike to the event. Bike racks will be provided in a secure location with a guard.

The City is also challenging the community to forego single-use plastic bottles. Take a simple step to help save the oceans by bringing your own reusable water bottle and filling it for free in our refilling stations.

Parking is available at the event and shuttle service will be provided from the Civic Center to the Village Green from 4 to 9 pm.
