The new Potocki Center for the Arts will be a lively place during Arts Alive
When you stop by the amazing Arts Alive & Street Painting Festival this spring, don’t forget to swing by the new Potocki Center for the Arts!
This vibrant festival is from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29 at the Oso Viejo Community Park on the Village Green and neighboring Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way, as well as at the new Center at 27301 La Paz Road.
Catering to this community’s boundless interest in the arts, the Potocki Center for the Arts recently held a spectacular grand opening and has since welcomed a bevy of art lovers. During Arts Alive, the facility will host a special showcase for Youth Street Painting talents, the History of Street Painting workshop and demonstration with Maribeth McFaul, basket weaving with Jacque Nunez, a “What Color Are Your Emotions?†workshop with Christine Barone, behind-the-scenes tours of the Center, as well as fun and creative activities for all ages. Also, don’t miss the artists participating in the “Just Plein Fun†painting competition who will be dotting the Oso Creek Trail.
