Big, sweet dog rescued from an overcrowded animal shelter needs a new home
Spark is 3-year-old big bloodhound/German shepherd mix who came from an overcrowded animal shelter in the Inland Empire that asked the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center for help.
Shortly after arriving at our shelter, Spark was diagnosed with an extremely uncomfortable condition known as Entropion - it's when your eyelashes roll into your eyes. So, the Dedicated Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) stepped up and paid for the surgery that fixed the condition. Today, Spark is a whole new dog - clear vision and all.
Spark weighs in at a whopping 110 pounds and is so sweet we refer to him as the "gentle giant." Spark is great with people and most dogs. He is extremely docile and loving and his short little tail never stops wagging! He would love nothing more than to curl up with you on the couch.
Spark responds extremely well to direction and is great on leash. A fun fact about Spark: He is not a huge fan of peacocks! They can be quite intimidating. Make sure you have tall fencing because Spark is a climber. He will go home with a group-training package.
Stop by the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center today at 28095 Hillcrest to meet this lovable dog. You'll be glad you did!
