PAAW (Passionate About Animal Welfare) Youth Workshops this July
In an effort to teach kids and teens about the benefit of pet ownership, the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center will host two workshops July 21 and July 28.
The workshops take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will teach children about responsible pet ownership – from how to approach a pet and understand its behavior to caring for, feeding and grooming a pet. The sessions, which are specific to your child’s age, are designed to shape children into responsible future pet owners.
Children ages 7-11 will meet on July 21 and should bring ribbon for our cat wand craft and are encouraged to bring one item from our donation list.
Children ages 12-17 will meet on July 28 and should bring an old adult sweater they no longer need or want to make two dog sweaters. They are also encouraged to bring an item from our donation list.
Registration, which is open to residents of our service cities, is available by calling 949-470-8404. Space is limited. The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center is located at 28095 Hillcrest.
