9/11 Remembrance
The Orange County Fire Authority will mark the 17th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, paying tribute to the heroes and honoring those who died.
In Mission Viejo at Fire Stations 9, 24 and 31, the public ceremony begins at 8:46 a.m., which coincides with the loss of the first plane. This brief remembrance ceremony on Tuesday, September 11 includes a moment of silence to honor the men, women and children who lost their lives and the heroes who responded to the catastrophic events of 9/11.
