Get landscape inspiration on special tour April 8

If you’re looking for landscape inspiration, make plans for the Santa Margarita Water District’s first annual Landscapes Tour on Saturday, April 8.

The self-guided tour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will give you the chance to visit stunning landscapes in the local community that have been designed with sustainability in mind. You’ll learn how a swale can capture rain water from your roof and provide water for your landscape year-round.

The tour will educate you about California native and low water-use plants you can use to create a pollinator habitat in your landscape. You can also chat with homeowners about their projects along with the design assistance many have received from SMWD’s landscape programs.
