Teens invited to tap their creative side with fascinating sun-printing program

Calling all teens!  On March 18, the Mission Viejo library will host an outdoor art project as part of its Teen Pop-Up MakerSpace series.

Teens can head outside the library's Storytime Room any time between noon and 2 p.m. for a cool sun-printing activity using Inkodye, a product that harvests UV rays to create a chemical reaction that produces creative colors.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own lightly colored (no dark colors) shirts and hoodies to use. Teens can also have an item made from the library's new 3D printer.

Along with having fun, this free program allows teens to express their creativity while learning new things.
This program was supported by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.

The Mission Viejo Library is located at 100 Civic Center Drive. For more information, call 949-830-7100.
