Save the date for Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball game & events that benefit veterans March 25

The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team will epitomize its motto of "Life without a limb is limitless" when it competes against an Orange County team on Sunday, March 25 at the Saddleback College baseball stadium. The game is part of this year's Veterans Resource Fair hosted by Assemblyman Bill Brough and Senator Pat Bates.

The mission of the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team is to inspire and educate others while enhancing the health and welfare of wounded warrior amputees.

Gates open at 11 a.m., with the game starting at noon at 28000 Marguerite Parkway. The free event runs until 4 p.m. and features refreshments and souvenirs. The Veterans Resource Fair will include a cornucopia of information on VA home loans, legal services, employment, training services and more. RSVP by calling 949-347-7301.

Before the big game and fair, the inaugural Working Wardrobes' VetNet 5K Walk and Fun Run takes step along the picturesque Oso Creek Trail. Participants can walk or run and sport boots for the "Walk in Their Shoes" event, which will raise awareness of the struggles veterans face here at home. The run starts at 9:30 a.m. with the walk kicking off 15 minutes later. Register at http://www.workingwardrobes.org/fundraisers.
