Yangsze Choo presents New York Times instant bestseller ‘The Night Tiger’ on Jan. 29

Night Tiger

New York Times bestselling author Yangsze Choo will make a special appearance in the popular Writers Present Series on Wednesday, January 29. The program is at 7 pm in the Mission Viejo Council Chamber, 200 Civic Center Drive.

Choo will discuss her upcoming paperback release “The Night Tiger,” which was selected as a Reese Witherspoon Hello Sunshine Book Club Pick and was a New York Times instant bestseller.

This sweeping historical novel set in 1930s Malaysia is about a dancehall girl and orphan boy whose fates entangle over an old Chinese superstition about men who turn into tigers.  Choo’s New York Times bestseller “The Ghost Bride” is currently under film production with Netflix.

Choo’s Writers Present 7 pm presentation is free and open to the public. The $21 ticketed VIP Meet & Greet Reception hosted by the Friends of the Library takes place at 6 pm in the library’s Heritage Room. It includes light appetizers, wine, sparkling cider and a chance to meet Choo and have her sign â€œThe Night Tiger,” which is included in the price.  VIP attendees will have reserved seating for the presentation.  To purchase a VIP ticket, visit https://yangszechoo.brownpapertickets.com.
