County Health officials clarify COVID-19 directive

The Orange County Healthcare Agency issued a revised directive today that supersedes the directive issued yesterday.

Other than closures of bars, movie theaters, gyms and health clubs, businesses can continue to operate while following social distancing protocols (six-foot separation), County officials said today during a press conference. Residents are encouraged to read the County’s latest amended order at this link and contact the health referral line (800-564-8448) with medical questions from 8 am to 8 pm. Non-emergency questions about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) should be directed to the County’s Public Information Hotline at 714-628-7085.

Along with the County’s clarification, local water districts are reassuring residents that our drinking water remains safe and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. COVID-19 has no impact on the quality or supply of our tap water.  Water districts are also asking residents to refrain from flushing disposable wipes or paper towels down the toilet. Doing so can affect individual property owners with unwanted plumbing bills and damage – and impact the sewage infrastructure.
