Arts Alive Festival & Concert will embrace 'Lights, Camera, Action' theme
The countdown is underway to the 2017 Mission Viejo Arts Alive Festival. This dynamic event takes place from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30 at the Oso Viejo Community Park on the Village Green and neighboring Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
With a "Lights, Camera, Action!" theme, this year's festival will feature a cornucopia of fun - arts and crafts, musical performances as well as amazing street paintings brought to life by incredible artists traveling to Mission Viejo from near and far. The two-day event includes an array of tasty fare and beverages along with cool activities for kids. Admission is free.
In honor of the festival's movie theme, finalists of the Mission Viejo Film Composer Competition will be presented in concert with a live orchestra at 7 p.m. on April 29 inside the Murray Center. The Newgate Chamber Orchestra will perform amazing local and international film scores with the accompanying films. With submissions from Orange County, New York, Italy and Switzerland, the competition will embrace talented composers and directors in an evening that will delight people of all ages.
