More ways to support our Marines

Great news, there are even more ways to help support the City’s adopted Headquarters Battalion of the 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton.  Now, our Marines can benefit every time you shop at Ralphs or Amazon.

Here’s how the program works:

Ralphs Groceries

If you have a Ralphs Rewards Card, you can link your card to the Mission Viejo Community Foundation so that every time you do your shopping a percentage of the cost will be donated to the Foundation, which supports our Marines. You can setup your online account (link: https://www.ralphs.com/i/community/community-contribution-program) and select the Mission Viejo Community Foundation (DL985) to start supporting the Marines. It’s as easy as that.

Amazon Smile

Shop on Amazon? Try Amazon Smile! Visit this link (https://smile.amazon.com), sign in with your Amazon account or set one up, then select the Mission Viejo Community Foundation (30-0291775) as your charitable organization. The Amazon Smile account is the same as your normal Amazon account, except 0.05% of your purchase is donated to the Foundation to support the Marines. 

Other ways to donate

Donations are also accepted through the Mission Viejo Community Foundation website (https://mvcommunityfoundation.org). For golfers, the annual Tee It Up Fore Marines Golf Tournament is open for registration, and the event will take place at Camp Pendleton’s Memorial Golf Course on Friday, October 9. Proceeds support the programs the Mission Viejo Marines and Sailors Adoption Committee offers military personnel and their families. The committee sends weekly care packages to deployed troops; hosts an annual “Day at Lake Mission Viejo”; offsets the cost for entry-level Marines to attend the annual Marine Corps Ball; distributes toys to Marine children during the holidays; provides baby baskets for newborns and expectant Marine parents, and more.  For more information, call 949-233-8516 or email info@mvcommunityfoundation.org.
