See vivid display of Mission Viejo's rich past June 7

old Mission Viejo photo of parade

Nostalgic photos of faces, places, activities and families spanning five decades in Mission Viejo will be on display during a special presentation at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 7 in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center Drive.

The public is invited to see the splendor of Mission Viejo's history, provided by residents, businesses and community members over the last several months. The Mission Viejo Library spearheaded the community photo collection thanks to a grant project funded by the California State Library that allowed staff to buy a state-of the-art scanner.  Residents happily heeded the library's call to provide photos for its expanded digital collection.

Don't miss this chance to reminisce Mission Viejo's seeing the photos presented on a large screen with friends, neighbors and family alike.  For more information, call 949-830-7100.

My dad actually helped build Mission Viejo before it existed. He help pour all of the curb, gutter and sidewalks. He used to talk about Marguerite, La Paz and El Toro Rd. when I was little. Those were the only roads that existed. The only way to get to Santa Ana was via El Toro road.
